On 22 January 2024, UK BoE issued minutes of November 2023 Securities lending committee meeting.

• UK FCA updated that UK Treasury had published a draft Statutory Instrument for the new UK short selling regime, and had asked for technical comments from the market.
• UK Treasury had announced plans to publish the final Statutory Instrument in 2024.
• It also separately published final Statutory Instrument with increase short selling reporting threshold from 0.1% to 0.2% net short positions of issued share capital, 5 February 2024.
• UK FCA noted that the Accelerated Settlement Task Force was due to publish its report on whether and how the UK market should migrate to T+1 settlement basis in future.
