India – SEBI Foreign Portfolio Investors

On 6 August 2024, IND SEBI modified the Foreign Portfolio Investors FPI master circular for university funds.

University fund or university-related endowments shall not be required to make the additional disclosure as specified, subject to fulfilling additional conditions.
Additional conditions include that Indian equity AUM should be less than 25% of global AUM, and global AUM should be over INR 10,000 crore or equivalent.
The amendments are effective immediately from 1 2024.
