• To increase liquidity for Innovation Board Stocks, provide more flexibility for investors, optimize fundraising environment for innovation board, attract more startups to list.

Amendments

• Common stocks on Innovation Board can be included in margin trading, subject to the examination standards for margin trading and short selling applicable to listed stocks.
• Allow continued eligibility for margin trading and short selling of Innovation Board stocks after reclassification as regular listed stocks, similar to over-the-counter stocks.

Effectiveness

• Consultation will be open for 60 days from day after publication of consultation paper.
