• SK FIA amended the Credit transaction manual re short selling reform of June 2024.
• Follows SK FSC, SK FSS June 2024 launched short selling reform measures.
• Also follows SK FIA February 2025 published revised Credit transaction manual.

Amendments to Manual

• Strengthen short selling balance disclosure standards to a reporting-level requirement.
• In addition, introduce a new regulation prohibiting short sellers from acquiring convertible bonds or bond warrants after the public announcement of their issuance plan but before the determination of the conversion price or warrant exercise price.

Effectiveness

• The amended manual takes effect from 31 March 2025.
