On 7 May 2025, TSE issued plan with respect to short selling balances.
- TSE said a new data addition to J-Quants API for individuals will be launched soon.
- Follows TSE November 2021 said it will restructure organization, build subsidiary.
Details of Plan
- This new data addition will provide additional information on short selling balances reported by trading participants with a balance ratio of 0.5% or more, in accordance with the Cabinet office ordinance on restrictions on securities transactions.
- With the addition, J-Quants API users will be able to use longer historical data, i.e., past 10 years of data for standard service, data from November 2013 for premium service.
