On 3 February 2021, SK FSC, FSS further extended the short selling ban to 2 May 2021.

• FIA extraordinary meeting agreed that resumption of short selling is inevitable given the current market situation and the resumption of short selling in other countries.
• Also agreed that resumption of short selling should be gradual instead of all at once.
• FSC has decided to resume short selling starting from the constituents of KOSPI 200 and KOSDAQ 150 indexes, beginning 3 May  2021; others to be determined in future.
