Malaysia – Extends Existing Short Selling Ban

On 26 August 2021, MLY SCM further extended the suspension of intraday short selling by proprietary day traders (PDT Short Sale) to 31 December 2021.

  • Follows careful consideration of various initiatives currently undertaken to strengthen control measures for intraday short selling activities to promote market stability.
