U.S. – SEC Releases Updated Tech Spec for 13f-2 Short Selling Report

On 18 November 2024, the SEC released another draft of the technical specification for short selling regulation 13f-2.

Background:

short selling regulation 13f-2 comes in effect 2 January 2025
SEC will release final technical specification on 16 December 2024
13f-2 short selling regulation has two thresholds to be considered: Threshold A (reporting issuers) and Threshold B (non-reporting issuers)
