Revisions
- Criteria for market capitalization increased; the average monthly turnover requirement has been specified to better align with current trading sizes and conditions.
- Implemented uptick rule where short selling must be priced higher than the last trade for all securities; exemption for registered market makers to aid in liquidity management.
- Thai SET will disclose information about investors with inappropriate trading behavior to member companies, enabling them to effectively monitor, manage these investors.
Effectiveness
- These regulations are effective from 1 July, 2024, except for the qualifications for stocks eligible for short selling, which are effective from 21 June 2024.
