On 1 April 2025, UK FCA updated its short selling guidance page on notification and disclosure of net short positions to add the updated UK list of exempted shares valid from 1 April 2025.

• Follows completion of second stage of FCA's biannual review of exempted shares list.
• Updated list has been reviewed to include shares admitted to trading on UK trading venues in November and December 2024, list valid from 1 April 2025 to positions from that date.
• List includes instructions and UK List of Exempted Shares containing all shares admitted to trading on UK trading venues with principal trading venue outside the UK.
• Net short positions held on any shares on this list will not be reportable to the FCA.
