On 24 June 2020, CHI NDRC released negative lists for foreign investment access.

• Special management measures for foreign investment access (negative list) (2020) and for foreign investment access in the free trade pilot zone (negative list) (2020).
• Negative list of foreign investment access was reduced from 40 to 33, and list of foreign investment access in the pilot free trade zone was reduced from 37 to 30.
• Main changes include to accelerate opening up key areas of the service industry, relax access to manufacturing and agriculture, continue opening pilots in free trade zone.
• The lists will take effect on 23 July 2020.
